Years ago I made an interactive Oregon Trail Budget Spreadsheet and a Supply Ledger using Microsoft Excel for my students to use as they started working in their wagon groups to prepare

for Westward Ho!

The Budget Spreadsheet  is an interactive Excel spreadsheet I created for pioneers/students to use to budget and track their initial startup expenses as they prepare to travel on the Oregon Trail. An

itemized list with realistic prices from the mid-1800's is given in areas such as wagon supplies,provisions, animals, food, and luxuries. Let the spreadsheet to do math for you! A non-interactive PDF file version of the Oregon Trail Budget  is also available to download if you just want to have a form for your students to fill in themselves. (Adobe Reader is needed to download

this form.)

The Supply Ledger  is an interactive Excel spreadsheet I created for pioneers/students to use to keep track of initial purchases and expenses while on the trail. A non-interactive PDF file version of the Supply Ledger is also available to download if you to want a form for your students to fill in. (Adobe Reader is needed to download this form.)

My spreadsheets are available for you and your pioneers to use as you see fit. (I shore would appreciate gettin' an invite to eat at yore campfire on the trail sometime in return).

Over the years I have had so many individual requests by other scouts fer my budget spreadsheet and supply ledger that my eyes and fingers plum tuckered out tryin' ta send each scout a copy via the Pony Express.
